Bellies & Babies
This class brings mommies-to-be and moms with new babies together to bond over this incredibly transformative moment in their lives as they welcome their home their children. Led by our prenatal, postnatal and new baby expert, Holly Flanagan, Bellies & Babies combines the relaxed, social atmosphere of a new moms support group with a structured weekly topic. We believe in all healthy parenting styles, and love to facilitate discussion between different methods of parenting. This is a judgement-free zone, and we welcome all mothers exactly as you are.
Ages: Pregnancy through 3 months old
1. Newborn developmental milestones and sleep
2. Feeding - breast, bottle and solids
3. New Mom physical and emotional needs
4. Healthy Newborn Care
5. Bonding with Baby
6. Special topic based on needs of the group. Example - babywearing, baby led weaning and infant massage
Any and all topics are welcome during open discussion time at the beginning of each class.
We tailor each class according to the needs of the group. We welcome you to join us during this journey with your new baby.

Instructor: Holly Flanagan
Holly is a local mother of a toddler with a BA in Psychology and Counseling and her MA in Teaching. She adores supporting mothers as a Birth Doula (trained through DONA International) and is currently training to be a Nursing Mothers' Council Breastfeeding Counselor. She is also currently using her 13 years teaching experience to design a high school course focusing on birth and maternal health.
Through the transformative experience of birthing and mothering her son, Holly became passionate about educating herself and others to make informed choices in parenting. Through the challenges and beauty of breastfeeding, Holly became humbled by the generosity of other mothers and confident because of their wisdom. She attributes her success as a postpartum mother to her supportive village of women and her IBCLC at Babies in Common in Grafton, MA. Holly brings her personal interest and knowledge of yoga, nutrition, and baby wearing and is honored to be a part of the mother to mother community at MHP. Her goal is empower each mother to make choices that serve her own family's health and happiness
