We require all participants to register for the class on our website to receive a link to access the online content
No refunds or makeups available for missed online-classes
Links are sent out manually (this process is NOT automated through our current system) via email about one day before the first class, if you register less than 24hrs before the class we’ll do our best
When using an interactive platform, like Zoom, the video and audio from all participants is shared and may be captured if a class is being recorded. We usually try to only record the view of the "presenter", so you are responsible for muting your own microphone and camera. Read more about virtual class policies and tips here.
Use the registration link or meeting ID sent via email before each class may require you to sign-in with Name, Email and Validation Question(s) before gaining access to the live class, so please allow at least 5 minutes before the class starts to get set up
DO NOT SHARE links to live video classes OR recorded videos with anyone outside your immediate household
Once instruction starts, we will start recording in "spotlight view" which should only record our view of the teacher
HOWEVER, the benefit of Zoom is that the teacher and the other participants in the class will be able to see, hear and interact with each other real-time
For your own privacy, YOU can always mute and turn off your video feed at any time throughout the class
BY ALLOWING YOUR CHILD TO PARTICIPATE YOU ACKNOWLEDGE the live and captured video and audio during the class may include your child's voice, face, and background which may be shared with other registered participants in this class
Marblehead Parenting reserves the right to download and store the original file and may take snippets for promotional use (per our usual terms and conditions)
Other Helpful Tips:
Please aim to sign in about 5 minutes in advance (especially for the first class)
If you join before we do you should see a message that you are waiting for the host to start the meeting
If you can't make it or the kids have trouble and need to take a break or stop, no worries… feel free to join back in when/if you can
Keep in mind that voices of the students and in the background at your homes can be heard by other participants and may be captured on the audio of the recording
If you are joining the class late, please make sure your microphone is muted
We usually start and end each class with everyone un-muted so they can say hello/goodbye to the teacher and the other students
For large groups, we will ask everyone to mute themselves before we get started and the instructor may have moments where they ask everyone or individuals to un-mute throughout instruction
For small and interactive group classes, please try to set your child up in a quiet area so they can all hear and participate with minimal background noise
